The 2015 season has started so poorly for the Miami Marlins that they are reportedly considering firing manager Mike Redmond, the Miami Herald reports. The Marlins are 3-10 after being swept by the Mets.
The Herald reports a surprising name could be atop the Marlins' manager search-list:
According to sources who have heard rumblings, Redmond is on the hot seat and the the organization is already bouncing around possible replacements. One possibility: Wally Backman, the Mets' Triple A manager.Backman has been a manager in the Mets minor league system since 2010 and has headed the Triple-A team for the past two seasons.
