The Mets (80-66) travel to the City of Brotherly Love to take on the Phillies (88-58) in the first of two series this month. The Phillies are in first place in the National League East, eight games ahead of the Mets, who are currently in sole possession of the third Wild Card slot in the National League. Thus far on the season, the Phillies have eaten the Mets’ lunch, winning four of the six contests thus far, but all but two of the games that have been played were in May, when the Mets were a very, very different team.
