PORT ST. LUCIE — The magic number on the Mets roster is two.
With 23 jobs locked up this spring — provided there are no injuries — manager Terry Collins indicated the competition for the final two spots will be in the team’s bullpen.
Jeurys Familia, Addison Reed, Antonio Bastardo, Jerry Blevins and Hansel Robles are set in the bullpen, with several candidates in the mix for the last two spots.
It is a group that includes Sean Gilmartin, Erik Goeddel, Logan Verrett, Rafael Montero, Jim Henderson, Jeff Walters and Josh Smoker, though some of those candidates could become rotation depth at Triple-A Las Vegas.
