The Matt Harvey experiment will continue on Sunday in the Subway Series finale and even Terry Collins admits he doesn’t know how it’s going to go.
The only thing that seems certain is the right-hander won’t be making his typical start as the Mets try to keep him sharp and also preserve his arm for the postseason.
All Collins would say is Harvey won’t be limited to three innings.
“We don’t know how short,” Collins said before the Mets’ 6-0 loss to the Marlins. “We’re going to keep a very close eye on him. We have to be cognizant of the fact we are looking at the innings situations.
