So MLB has released the current leaders of its "first four" vote (it's basically the whole Mt. Rushmore idea) and the results are pretty interesting.
The four greatest living players after the first vote are Koufax, Aaron, Mays and Seaver (so if you consider Koufax used to visit the Mets in spring training and is friends with Fred Wilpon) there are Met ties to three of the guys.
As for the Mets top picks, they are, in order: Seaver, Piazza, Wright and Hernandez.
I thought the results were interesting, especially Hernandez, who - while winning a ring - was only a Met for 6.
