WASHINGTON, D.C. — After talking to the righthander at the center of the maelstrom over his availability moving forward, Sandy Alderson indicated that Matt Harvey will make two more regular-season starts and a third in the final series of the season against the Nationals in October, but only if it is “meaningful” in the Mets' hunt for a postseason berth.
Alderson couldn't say with certainty that Harvey will be available through the playoffs, because they "don't know how he will feel or what all of the considerations are at that time.”.
“There will be a number we’ve proposed, that — putting aside the last series against Washington — will get him in the range of 180 (innings),” Alderson said.
