Harvey shuts out media after final start

Matt Harvey declined to speak to reporters after he allowed three runs and two hits in two innings in his final spring training appearance before Opening Day on Sunday.

According to Terry Collins, Harvey's silence was in response to commentary and headlines pertaining to his recent bladder infection and blood clot.

"This was a serious thing, and they made a joke about it," Collins said, according to the New York Post. "He was [ticked] off. This kid was scared. He didn't think it was funny."

Earlier in the week, Harvey passed a blood clot from his bladder, which had forced him to skip his previous start.
