The Mets may be very upset with Scott Boras for going public Friday regarding the whole Matt Harvey innings limits, but they should really be sending him a thank you card.
By making the whole thing public and by letting Harvey look foolish on Saturday, Boras took the Mets completely off the hook.
Imagine for a second Boras kept his mouth shut and the Mets and Harvey worked out this whole thing behind closed doors and then on Monday, the Mets announced this new plan for the Dark Knight, you know, the one where he makes only one start after Tuesday and maybe pitches in the playoffs.
