Harvey escapes danger multiple times in no-decision against Nationals

Mets RHP Matt Harvey flirted with and escaped danger multiple times in a no-decision in Sunday's game against the Washington Nationals at Nationals Park.

Harvey gave up four runs, nine hits and one walk in five innings, leaving six Nationals stranded on the basepaths as he departed with a 5-4 lead.

He pitched into and out of a bases-loaded, two-out jam in the fourth inning by getting Anthony Rendon to fly out to deep left field, and escaped a fifth-inning jam when Michael A. Taylor singled between Harvey and first baseman Adrian Gonzalez, but Gonzalez caught Trea Turner overrunning third base and forced a tag out at home to end the inning.
