- Harvey retired the first 13 White Sox hitters before J.B. Shuck singled with one in the fifth. The right-hander pitched seven innings for the first time this season and allowed just two hits and a walk while striking out six. He got into trouble in the seventh when he walked Adam Eaton and surrendered a single to Jose Abreu to start the frame. But a surprising sacrifice by Melky Cabrera resulted in the first out before Harvey retired Todd Frazier and Shuck to end the threat.
- Walker's 12th home run of the season was also his career-high fifth as a right-handed batter.
