If you’ve played fantasy baseball over the past few years, you might have added Griffin Canning to your roster at some point. Having spent the entirety of his major league career with the Angels through the end of the 2024 season. the 28-year-old has had several very good stretches as a major league starting pitcher.
In total, however, Canning has kind of struggled. He’s thrown 508.0 innings, appearing as a starting pitcher in 94 of his 99 outings, and he has an identical 4.78 FIP. He’s had two significant issues since making his big league debut in 2019: staying on the field and surrendering home runs.
