The Mets faced the Cardinals in a quick spring training game this afternoon, dropping the game to the Cardinals 6-1.
- Tylor Megill started, going two and two thirds innings. He gave up a triple to Brendan Donovan in the second inning, and Donovan came in to score two batters later, putting the Mets in a 1-0 hole.
- The Cardinals tacked on extra runs via a Nolan Arenado double in the sixth off of Austin Warren and a Matt Koperniak home run in the seventh off of Kevin Herget.
- Brett Baty led off the eighth with a single, and was pulled for pinch runner Yonny Hernandez.
