Granderson says thumb is healed

Mets OF Curtis Granderson said on Tuesday that his surgically repaired left thumb is healed (Dec. 15).

Granderson had surgery on Nov. 5 to repair a torn ligament in the thumb. At the time, the Mets said he would be ready for the start of Spring Training.

Granderson injured the thumb while sliding during Game 3 of the NLCS against the Cubs.

This past season, Granderson hit .259 with a .364 OBP and .457 SLG to go along with 26 HR and 70 RBIs.

He's entering the third year of a four-year deal worth $60 million.
