The MLB Winter Meetings are this week, Monday through Thursday, in Nashville. I do not attend. I stay in my home office, surrounded by TVs, laptops, my phone and streaming radio, because it's the best way to do what I do... The event brings together GMs, agents, managers, minor league staff, job seekers, reporters, TV, radio, fans and more, and often provides a handful of transactions and lots of lots of rumors.
Will the Mets make a move?
It's up to Ben Zobrist, who is clearly Sandy Alderson's top priority. In one move, Zobrist gives the Mets someone who will play 150 games, and do it backing up David Wright, playing some shortstop, and being a stop-gap second baseman.
