GEICO SportsNite: Mets trucks arrive in Florida

The Mets announced their one-year deal with LH reliever Jerry Blevins and designated INF/OF Ty Kelly for assignment to make room on the 40-man roster.

The deal, which was reported last week, will pay Blevins $5.5 million in 2017 and contains a $7 million team option for 2018 with a $1 million buyout, reports Jon Heyman of FanRag. Blevins can also earn $100,000 in incentives each season.

Blevins, 33, came back to the Mets in 2016 after pitching just five innings with the club in 2015 before he fractured and re-fractured his left arm.
