Gay Grimace Mets outmuscle Astros

The Mets kept the good times rolling on Pride Night at Citi Field, defeating the Astros 7-2. José Quintana was shaky, but limited the damage and a shorthanded, but well-rested bullpen held firm while the Mets came from behind and then built a lead via the long ball.

Just like in the Yankees series, things looked dicey early for the Mets. Jose Altuve sent the very first pitch of the game thrown by José Quintana over the wall for a solo homer to give the Astros an early lead. Quintana went on to load the bases in the inning via a single sandwiched between two walks.
