Gavin Cecchini on fire any way you split it in Mets' minors

Shortstop Gavin Cecchini has never hit like this since being drafted the Mets.

The 12th overall pick in 2012, Cecchini batted .256 with just one home run during his first two pro seasons in 2012 and 2013, beset by a broken finger and a sprained ankle that limited him to just 109 games. Cecchini hit .247 with eight home runs in 2014, but needed a valiant second-half effort just to get there. He was batting .190 on July 27, but hit .284 (33-for-116) the rest of the way.

This season has been a completely different story.
