Mets INF Gavin Cecchini spent his offseason working on his swing and practicing new positions in an effort to increase his chances of finding a role on the major league team.
"I really believe I'm a middle infielder, and I think [the Mets] do too. That's where my position is," Cecchini said, according to Newsday. "But hey, listen, you have to make the team somehow."
Cecchini focused on the angle of his swing, his hand rhythm, and staying behind the ball in order to get "the most out of my swing."
Cecchini has has hit two home runs and tallied five RBIs through five spring training games this season.
