QUEENS, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) — New York fans may be cold at tonight’s game, but they stayed optimistic as the Mets kicked off game two of the NCLS championship series against the Chicago Cubs.
Many fans arrived at the game with their superstitions — like one woman who cut off the head of a Mr. Met doll and fastened it to her hat, and another whose Mets jersey was emblazoned with light-up buttons and pins.
The big apple in the outfield had a bandage on it for tonight’s game, marking the spot where Travis D’Arnaud hit a home run on Saturday, WLNY 1055’s Matt Kozar reported.
