The New York Mets‘ managerial search ended almost two weeks ago. The Mets decided to hire Carlos Beltrán, who played for the organization from 2005-11.
Now, the Mets are in search for someone to fill their bench coach vacancy. Early on, it was rumored that former Mets manager Terry Collins could take over that position. However, it’s since been reported that that won’t happen. Instead, Fredi González has emerged as a candidate to fill the vacancy, per sources close to Mike Puma of the New York Post.
