Federal prosecutors on Wednesday charged a New Jersey man with a fraud scheme that involved fake leases for office equipment and a case of identify theft using forged signatures of New York Mets officials.
Michael Conway, of Verona, N.J., was arrested on Wednesday morning and was set to be arraigned on charges of wire fraud and identity theft in Federal District Court in Brooklyn.
According to prosecutors, Mr. Conway ran a fraud scheme using his company, Choice Office Solutions, which buys equipment like printers and fax machines and leases it to universities, hospitals and sports franchises in the New York area.
