Some young Mets prospects will be playing in the All-Star game at Tradition Field this year.
Two St. Lucie Mets will be playing in the Florida State League All-Star game on June 20. Teammates Jeff McNeil and Akeel Morris will take the field representing the Mets' Single-A affiliate at this year's game.
Two other Mets, Michael Conforto and Robert Gsellman, were also voted in, but were promoted to Double-A Binghamton, so they won’t be playing in the game. Conforto, the Mets' 2014 first-round draft pick, was a two-time FSL Player of the Week and had seven home runs and 24 RBI in 46 games before getting called up.
