Former Met Ike Davis has transitioned from first baseman to pitcher as he made his debut pitching for the Arizona League Dodgers Monday.
According to NY Daily News' Zachary Ripple, Davis struck out the side in one perfect inning where his fastball sat from 88-92 mph.
The 30-year-old had relief experience while playing for the Arizona State Sun Devils in college. He posted a 2.25 ERA in 24 innings his junior year in 2008.
Davis spent five seasons with the Mets where he once accumulated 32 homers in a single season (2012).
