Flores' walk-off hit in 10th caps Mets' late push

NEW YORK -- The Mets closed an emotional Tuesday with a celebration, walking off with a 4-3, 10-inning win over the Pirates on Wilmer Flores' one-out single down the left-field line to score Michael Conforto, whose game-tying homer in the seventh inning gave New York late life.

Before the game, the Mets announced that Tuesday would be Sandy Alderson's final official day as the club's general manager, as he prepares to take a leave of absence for a personal medical issue.
