Mets infielder Wilmer Flores had surgery Thursday to remove part of the hamate bone on his left right hand.
"Thank God everything went well," Flores later wrote on Instagram.
Mets GM Sandy Alderson said Wednesday at Citi Field that the surgery is considered minor and Flores is expected to be ready for spring training.
He first injured his wrist during a game in Atlanta on Sept. 10, after which he had two anti-inflammatory injections that did not improve his condition.
In the six games prior to the injury, Flores was hitting .381 with four extra-base hits and two RBI.
