The Mike Piazza 9/11 jersey is officially safe in the hands of Mets fans who want to share the artifact with the world.
Anthony Scaramucci, one of the fans who purchased the jersey, showed it off on social media on Monday in a photograph with trainer Ray Salomone.
“True @Mets fans with the @mikepiazza31 jersey on its way to the @baseballhall,” Scaramucci wrote on Twitter.
Scaramucci, Tony Lauto, Jim McCann of 1-800-Flowers and an anonymous female business partner agreed to pay $365,000 for the jersey last week to end a dramatic bidding process.
