The Mets lost once again this afternoon, falling to the Rockies 3-2 despite jumping out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning. That gives the Mets their sixth consecutive loss, all of them at home, as the team was swept in back-to-back three-game series.
Noah Syndergaard was decent, as he struck out five, walked four, and allowed two runs in six innings of work. The Mets’ bullpen wasn’t bad, but with the team providing no offensive support after that first inning, the solo home run that Hansel Robles gave up in the top of the eighth proved to make the difference in the final score.
