Despite jumping out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning and taking a 4-1 lead into the bottom of the second, the Mets lost to the Rockies by a 10-8 score.
Seth Lugo had a very rough go of it at Coors Field, as he lasted just three innings and gave up six runs on six hits. The Mets came back with four runs in the top of the fifth to take an 8-6 lead, but Robert Gsellman, the team’s second reliever of the night, gave up three runs in his inning of work.
