It seems the Mets left all of their offensive prowess behind in the first game of yesterday’s double header. To be fair, they were facing a slightly better pitcher this time around. The Mets managed just three hits and one run off Aaron Nola as they dropped this game to the Phillies 4-2. Nola struck out 11 Mets in his seven innings of work.
Meanwhile Noah Syndergaard was not sharp tonight, getting hit hard in the first inning, giving Nola a three run advantage before he even took the mound.
