Final Score: Padres 7, Mets 2 — Who’s your Padre

The Mets’ most recent winning streak came to an end at one game as the Padres took game two from the Amazin’s by the score of 7-2. A shaky start from Noah Syndergaard and a few blown opportunities by the offense were enough to put the game out of reach for New York.

Coming off of a pair of good starts since the All-Star break, Noah Syndergaard stumbled a bit, going seven innings while allowing four runs, and three earned runs, on eight hits with five walks allowed. Unfortunately, the bullpen wasn’t much better as Jeurys Familia, Luis Avilan, Tyler Bashlor, and Stephen Nogosek combined to allow another three runs before recording the Mets’ final six outs.
