In the series finale of this weekend’s Subway Series, the Mets defeated the Yankees 7-6, as Francisco Lindor had a hell of a night. The shortstop went 3-for-4 with three home runs, a walk, and five runs batted in.
Lindor’s first home run was a three-run shot that turned a 2-1 deficit into a 4-2 lead in the bottom of the second. He hit a solo shot in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Mets up 6-4 at the time. And after the Yankees tied the game at six, Lindor hit his third home run of the night in the bottom of the eighth, putting the Mets up 7-6, which wound up being the final score.
