The broken record plays on and on for Jacob deGrom, as he put together another fantastic start and once again walked away with a no-decision. However, this time it was a happy ending for the Mets, as Jose Bautista hit a walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the ninth off Chaz Roe to seal the victory.
The Mets’ only run prior to the Bautista slam came in the third inning off Ryan Yarbrough, pitching in relief of Rays’ “opener” Ryne Stanek, who opened the game with two scoreless innings.
