Final Score: Mets 5, Brewers 0—Good things brewing

Following a disappointing series against the Marlins at home, the Mets needed a win to turn things around, and that’s just what they got. The Mets defeated the first-place Brewers 5-0 to open up the four-game set at Miller Park. Steven Matz had his best start of the season as he threw six scoreless innings, only allowing seven batters to reach base and striking out three.

Much like Matz, the Mets’ offense had a good night with every position player who started the game getting at least one hit against the Brew Crew.
