Final Score: Mets 4, Rays 3—Seven straight wins

The Mets won their seventh straight game with a wild 4-3 victory over the Rays this evening in Tampa Bay. The teams alternated solo home runs—five in total—with the Rays taking the lead at 1-0, 2-1, and 3-2 on theirs. But the Mets scored two runs in the top of the ninth, the first on a Michael Conforto double in the gap and the second on a Wilmer Flores that dropped in softly in right field.

The adventure continued in the bottom of the ninth, but Jeurys Familia and company managed to keep the Rays from tying the game, and the Mets won.
