Noah Syndergaard started strong and overcame some trouble with his finger late to lead the Mets to their sixth straight win, downing the Marlins 4-2. Syndergaard went six innings, allowing two runs (one earned), striking out five, walking two, and hitting a batter while allowing five hits. He cruised through the first four before struggling with his command late, but he battled through and registered a quality start for his second win of 2018.
The offense got going early, with Adrian Gonzalez driving in a run in the second (along with another run that scored on a double play) and Jay Bruce driving in a run in the third.
