The Mets defeated the Rockies 2-1 to take the series in Colorado. Shockingly enough, runs were once again at a premium in the final game at Coors. The Mets offense never really clicked but they got enough hits to scratch out a couple of runs. Their two runs came on a groundout by Jeff McNeil in the second and a RBI hit by J.D. Davis that was set up by a Rockies error in the fourth.
That was all Marcus Stroman needed who was brilliant in eight innings. He outpitched Rockies starter Antonio Senzatela who was also solid.
