Coming into the night, the big story was Taijuan Walker’s return from the injured list. The righty starting pitcher picked up right where he left off by showing impressive stuff and keeping the opposing team off the board. He pitched five sterling innings of work, allowing just two hits and one walk without any runs and racking up eight strikeouts.
