Steven Matz clearly did not have it yet again which ended in a crushing 8-4 loss at Citi Field. The Marlins got a couple of runs early but the big blow came off the bat of Jorge Alfaro who hit his first career grand slam, and second home run of the day, to put the Marlins up big.
The Mets attempted a comeback when Amed Rosario countered with a grand slam but the combination of Walker Lockett and Brad Brach allowed two runners to score on a routine ground ball.
