The Mets once again suffered an annoying defeat against the Marlins that felt eerily similar to their Monday night defeat. Like they did in the series opener last night, They fell behind 4-0, battled back, but couldn’t score enough to eke out a win as they ultimately lost.
Taijuan Walker had his fourth straight rough start since the break, allowing four runs over 5.2 innings. He allowed homers to Alex Jackson in the second and Isan Díaz in the third, and allowed two more runs in that third inning on a Bryan De La Cruz two-run single with the bases loaded.
