The first six innings of this game were rough sledding for the Mets. Tylor Megill was shaky at best throughout his start, struggling with his command and his secondaries in his five innings. Megill allowed a run in the first and three separate sacrifice flies in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings.
The Mets lineup, which featured some questionable at best lineup decisions, looked lost through the first six. They broke out in a big way in the seventh. Michael Conforto began the two out rally with a pinch hit double, and Dom Smith singled him home.
