The Mets had their fair share of opportunities in this game, but failed to capitalize early with men on base, allowing Zack Godley to limit the damage on a night when he labored and struggled to find the plate at times. The Mets put the leadoff man on in each of the first three innings, but only scored once over that span, thanks to Seth Lugo helping himself with his first hit of the year. Todd Frazier then smacked a double down the left field line to score Lugo for the Mets’ first run.
