Despite a brilliant performance from Matt Harvey, the Mets dropped their third straight game.
The good news: Matt Harvey did what he was supposed to do. The Mets' ace pitched brilliantly tonight, striking out nine batters, while throwing seven shutout innings tonight at a chilly Wrigley Field. He was really only tested in the sixth when he put two men on with one out, but even that he worked out of without ever really breaking a sweat. The Dark Knight even continued his pattern of dominance over opposing teams' young offensive studs, as he struck out Kris Bryant twice on two equally awe-inspiring breaking balls.
