The Mets’ pitching was an absolute mess in their 17-6 loss to the slugging Brewers. Despite the offense giving Jason Vargas a couple of leads, he repeatedly failed to hold them. He was awful once again and chased after the third inning when the Brewers tied the game 5-5.
Jacob Rhame, A.J. Ramos, and Chris Flexen weren’t any better. Rhame was the best of the bunch since he only gave up two runs. Ramos got two outs in the fifth, then melted down to the tune of three runs and he didn’t complete the inning.
