NEW YORK, N.Y. — Players on the New York Mets were greeted by eager fans who wanted to show their support outside Citi Field Sunday as the team headed out to Kansas City ahead of the World Series, kicking off this Tuesday.
Fans stood through the rain and wind just to catch a glimpse of the team and get autographs.
“It means a lot,” one fan told CBS2’s Ilana Gold. “I’ve been a Mets fan ever since I could remember.”
The fans can’t wait for their return at the end of the week, so they can cheer them on when they take on the Kansas City Royals at Citi Field.
