The clock is ticking on the New York Mets 2015 regular season, in a manner of speaking.
Nine days remain before the non-waiver trading period expires on July 31st, and the fan base is screaming for action.
The Mets are in the midst of playing the National League’s three division leaders, but not faring very well. In fact, the dichotomy which exists between their stellar pitching and woeful hitting was on full display recently in St. Louis.
Pitching continues to keep them in Wild Card contention, and within 3 games of the division lead. That is why, should upper management fail to make an outwardly genuine effort in so far as procuring offensive talent by the deadline, ownership could, or should expect a fan revolt.
