Mets LH reliever Josh Edgin tossed a scoreless inning during a rehab assignment in Triple-A on Monday.
Edgin, 29, must be activated from the disabled list by Sunday, May 8, at which time the Mets could add him to the major league roster or option him to Las Vegas.
He is 3-3 with a 3.20 ERA in 115 relief innings for the Mets during his career.
Edgin had Tommy John surgery in early 2014.
In five innings during his current rehab, he has allowed one run, two hits and struck out seven batters.
