After a week in which they were no-hit for the first time since 1993, the Mets looked like a completely different team on Sunday, thumping four home runs and recovering from an early five-run deficit to outslug the Atlanta Braves, 10-8, on a sun-doused afternoon at Citi Field.
Both offenses got rolling early. Ten pitches in, Mets starter Dillon Gee already trailed, 1-0, after an R.B.I. single by Freddie Freeman.
Then, in the second inning, he left a changeup hanging, and Jace Peterson hammered it over the wall in right for a three-run homer, putting the Braves ahead, 4-1.
