Mets RHP Jacob deGrom, who had been dealing with lower back stiffness, threw 20 pitches during a bullpen session this morning in Port St. Lucie and will advance to throwing live batting practice on Sunday, manager Mickey Callaway said this afternoon.
The next step for deGrom after live batting practice would be his first game action of Spring Training, which could come early next week if all goes as planned.
