De Aza expects to play Tuesday despite X-rays on hand

Mets OF Alejandro De Aza was sent for an X-ray on his right hand after being hit by a pitch from Tigers closer Francisco Rodriguez on Sunday.

Results were negative and he told reporters he doesn't expect to miss any playing time.

"It all looks good," he explained after the game, according to NJ.com. "I'll be ready for Tuesday. ... It hit me hard, but after 30 seconds the pain was going away. I felt like I could grip it good and everything."

The Mets currently have three outfielders on the disabled list (Yoenis Cespedes, Juan Lagares, Justin Ruggiano), making De Aza the only natural center fielder on the roster.
