David Wright took another step toward returning to the Mets when he played six innings at third base for Single-A St. Lucie on Tuesday night.
It was his second rehab game as he comes back from spinal stenosis. He was tested twice in the top of the fourth against Fort Myers, once on a bunt single to third and then by making a play on a sacrifice bunt during the next at-bat.
Mets manager Terry Collins is subscribing to the “no news is good news” philosophy when it comes to Wright, and there were no problems out of Florida.
